Have you ever stayed in the hospital for days? Or have you ever been so sick to the extent that your best meals taste sour in your mouth? Every part of your body feels very weak and blinking your eyelids seem like the most difficult thing.
Until you find yourself struggling with your health, you might not believe that good health is underrated.
Recently, while I was away, I realised life is quite brief and uncertain and I had to come to terms with good health being underrated. When you have stable health, you sometimes don't know how grateful you should be to God.
It is sometimes funny how many forget so soon what they went through while they were bedridden, that they refuse to be grateful for good health. Instead, they go back to the routine that got them bedridden.
Why do I have to talk about good health being underrated? Just because it is fair that you start appreciating good health and resist things that will affect your health negatively.
I am not an authority in this but I will suggest things you can do to maintain good health.
In whatever situation you find yourself: be grateful!
Be vulnerable with the right persons: if you feel sick, don't keep it to yourself, talk to the right people. Don't talk to people that won't help you recover fast or the people that will cause your health to dwindle.
Do not starve yourself, eat healthy food.
Also, cleanliness is next to godliness; you need a clean space to think clearly and function properly.
Have you felt so sick, but after cleaning your space, you feel better? Now you get what I am saying.
Take enough water: you can start by taking water every morning before eating anything.
Take time to rest! Yes! Sleep when you need to. You can't cheat nature and not have to pay for it.
Pray: When you're sick, lay your hands on yourself and pray.
Finally, be positive in everything you do and avoid negativity as much as you can.
